Joseph Gulizia has been involved in operating Long Term Care, Retirement Homes and Continuing Complex Care facilities since 1997. He is known in the healthcare industry as an innovative strategist and an accomplished leader with extensive public, private and community sector experience.
As President and CEO, Joseph focuses on bringing value to his partners/stakeholders and is able to ensure that their goals are achieved by leveraging UniversalCare’s Pillars of Success.
Championing creativity and “out-of-the-box” thinking for transformational and sustainable change, Joseph challenges the status quo. He offers expertise through a full range of management and consulting services for public and private sector healthcare organizations.
Joseph provides exceptional support and leadership to his staff, clients and to the communities he does business in. He has developed strong relationships with many health care organizations. He is inclusive in both his thinking and approach, keeping a broad viewpoint.
Joseph is passionate and committed to ensure that seniors of all backrounds are able to receive the appropriate access to healthcare and enjoy a conscionable quality of life, despite growing fiscal burdens, growing demographic pressures and regional healthcare access limitations.
He has the ability to establish and maintain productive and collaborative relationships and has successfully organized community “senior” meetings with several Members of Parliament as well as a Past Minister of Seniors.
In addition to his dedication to seniors through his work, Joseph volunteer’s countless hours supporting local charities that raise funds for initiatives in the areas of mental health, autism and health promotion. Since 2003 he has personally chaired annual fundraising events, raising over $2 million dollars NET for their benefit.
